I just passed 12,300 words. That's nearly a quarter of the way done with the word count (um, not a quarter of the way done with novel by any means) and only three days in!

Maybe this means I should go back to doing my homework.

NaNo is going really well, hit 5K on my first day - which is good, because my next few days contain a hellish amount of schoolwork. Otherwise, I am already behind on sleep.

I've discovered that being emotionally turbulent during NaNo is a fantastic strategy. I'm finally realizing that I'm not over my ex-boyfriend (we broke up in late September), and it's hitting me pretty hard...and whenever I get upset or start wanting to call/message him, I just go write until the compulsion goes away.
